えとわーる☆へ ありがとうの気持ちを込めて

ふわりいぎりすをいつも読んでくださっている皆さまへ。
今日は少ししんみりとしたお知らせをさせてください。

我々の大切な仲間であり、「ふわりいぎりす」の創設メンバーでもあったえとわーる☆が、
先日、13年間にわたる長い闘病生活を終え、静かにこの世を旅立ちました。

えとわーる☆がいたからこそ、私たちのブログ「ふわりいぎりす」は生まれました。
7年前、彼女の「イギリスで暮らす日本人の皆さんの力になりたい」という一言が、
今に続く私たちの活動の始まりでした。

えとわーる☆は、いつも笑顔が素敵で、どんなときも前向きで、
周りの人を自然と明るくしてくれる存在でした。
病気と闘いながらも、弱音を吐かず、「大丈夫よ」と笑っていた彼女。
その笑顔が、どれだけ多くの人の心を支えてきたことでしょう。

彼女の書く記事は、どれも優しさと温かさに満ちていました。
イギリスでの暮らしを少しでも楽に、少しでも楽しく——
そんな思いを込めて、お買い物の情報やレシピ、季節の過ごし方などを紹介してくれました。
読む人の気持ちにそっと寄り添いながら、まるでお茶を飲みながらおしゃべりしているような、
柔らかい文体が印象的でした。

ふわりいぎりすのメンバーにとって、えとわーる☆はリーダーのような存在でした。
明るく、優しく、誰よりも人を思いやる彼女は、
いつも私たちに「楽しもう」「無理しないでね」と声をかけてくれました。
そのひと言ひと言が、今も胸の奥で響いています。

別れは本当に悲しく、どうしても涙がこぼれてしまいます。
けれど、私たちは信じています。
えとわーる☆は、星になって空から私たちを見守ってくれていると。
そして、時々ふわりと風に乗って、「元気にしてる？」と
微笑んでくれているような気がします。

彼女が築いてくれた「ふわりいぎりす」という場所は、
これからも私たちにとって大切な宝物です。
えとわーる☆が大事にしていた “優しさ” と “つながり” の心を忘れずに、
これからも一つひとつの記事を丁寧に書き続けていきたいと思います。

私個人としても、えとわーる☆と過ごした日々はかけがえのない時間でした。
たくさん笑って、時には真剣に語り合って、
彼女の優しさや強さに、どれだけ励まされたか分かりません。
あの穏やかな声、軽やかな笑い方、
一緒に紅茶を飲みながら語ったロンドン生活の話——
すべてが、今も心の中で生きています。

「笑顔でいれば、なんとかなんねん。」
彼女がよく言っていた言葉です。
その通りだと思います。
えとわーる☆の笑顔は、これからも私たちの記憶の中で、そしてこのブログの中で、
ずっと生き続けていくでしょう。

これからも「ふわりいぎりす」は、えとわーる☆の想いを胸に、
読者の皆さまに心温まる情報をお届けしていきます。
イギリスで暮らす方、旅行で訪れる方、
そして遠く離れた日本からこのブログを読んでくださる方に、
少しでも優しい風のような気持ちを届けられたら——
それこそが、えとわーる☆が願っていたことだと思います。

えとわーる☆、
あなたがいてくれたから、私たちはここまで来ることができました。
あなたの笑顔と優しさは、私たちの道を照らす光です。
これからも、あなたに恥じないように、一歩一歩、歩いていきます。本当にありがとう。
どうか天国で、痛みのない穏やかな時間を過ごしながら、
ふわりいぎりすの空の下で頑張る私たちを、
温かく見守っていてくださいね。心からの感謝と、愛を込めて。

🌸 In Loving Memory of Etoile 🌸

To all our readers of Fuwari Igirisu,
We have a little heartfelt news to share with you today.

Our dear friend and a founding member of Fuwari Igirisu, Etoile☆,
has peacefully passed away after bravely fighting illness for 13 long years.

It was because of Etoile that Fuwari Igirisu was born.
Seven years ago, her words —
“I want to create something that helps Japanese people living in the UK.” —
became the spark that started everything we do today.

Etoile was someone who always had a beautiful smile,
someone who remained positive no matter the circumstances,
and someone who naturally brightened the people around her.
Even while battling her illness, she rarely complained,
and would often smile and say, “I’m fine, really.”
Her gentle strength and warmth have touched so many hearts.

Every article she wrote was filled with kindness and compassion.
She wanted to make life in the UK a little easier, a little happier for everyone.
Through her posts — whether about shopping, cooking, or seasonal life in Britain —
she shared her experiences with warmth, humour, and care.
Reading her words always felt like chatting with a dear friend over a cup of tea.

For us, the Fuwari Igirisu team, Etoile was like a leader.
She was bright, caring, and thoughtful —
always the one reminding us, “Let’s enjoy this,” or “Don’t push yourself too hard.”
Those words still echo in our hearts today.

Saying goodbye has been incredibly painful,
and tears come easily when we think of her.
But we truly believe that Etoile has now become a star in the sky,
watching over us from above.
Sometimes, we feel a soft breeze and imagine her whispering,
“How are you all doing?” with that same gentle smile.

The place she helped to create — Fuwari Igirisu —
will always remain a precious treasure for us.
We will continue to write, with the same spirit of kindness and connection
that she cherished so deeply.

For me personally, the days spent with Etoile were truly special.
We laughed so much together,
we shared honest conversations,
and her strength and tenderness always encouraged me.
I can still hear her calm voice, her light-hearted laugh,
and remember those cosy afternoons, chatting over tea about life in London.
Those memories live on warmly in my heart.

She often said, “Keep smiling and everything will be all right.”
And she was right.
Her smile will live on — in our memories, in our hearts,
and in every word written on this blog.

From now on, Fuwari Igirisu will continue to share warm and helpful stories,
carrying Etoile’s love and spirit with us.
For those living in the UK,
for those visiting from Japan,
and for those reading our posts from afar —
we hope our words will continue to bring a gentle breeze of comfort,
just as Etoile always wished.

Etoile☆,
It is because of you that we have come this far.
Your smile and kindness continue to light our path.
We will keep walking forward, step by step,
striving to make you proud.

and may you watch over us kindly
as we continue our journey under the same British sky you loved so much.
